I wasn't able to hold an assessment session today because my student was at a doctor's appointment. I was however, able to review a diagnostic case report and get a feel of how it is written, what information is required in it and grasp the concept of how I will attempt to put mine together. I think the more information you gather the better chance you will have of having a throughly written diagnostic report. Dr. Rivera also provided another assessment manual that we could use with our students. Looking through it, I think I will be able to use it and my student will find that it may be easier to do than the other assessment strategies that I have used with him so far.
Quote: " A chattering bird builds no nest" By: African Proverb
My interpretation of the quote is that, the more you talk and less you work, in the end you will never get anything done.
I, too, am going to review the book a bit more to see what I can use to get more information on my student. I really think that I have to get more information so that I can make a better analysis of the problem, if there is a problem.
ReplyDeleteYour quote reminds me of my grandmother. She was Chamorro but I think she must have had some African blood since she said this quote to me more times than I cared to hear it when I was a kid.
